I hope you are all doing well. I am here to share my new challenging task which is digital storytelling. Again we were not forced to do a specific task but we had some options that we were free to choose the best for us. We had to work with peers, me and my peer Nazar Gokalp choose to create a PSA.
We checked the websites that our teacher recommended to us and we decided to use Canva. Canva was the most suitable tool as it had numerous templates and we could add our voice to the video after editing it.
Firstly, we decided on the topic which was encouraging people to avoid smoking. We found some statistics and combined them with photos and our voices.
I can say that the only constraint was adding our voice recordings in the MP4 version. In other words, our voice recordings were not in a suitable form for uploading. So, we convert them to MP4 versions on another website and we manage to upload them in the right slides.
We should also highlight the benefits of digital storytelling. No matter what the student’s level of technological or narrative experience is, anyone may create a story through technological channels. It enables people to creatively share their recovery tales.
Moreover, students can learn the significance of technology integration in class. It aids permanent learning as the focus is the student and their creativity. Students' emotional reactions to these tales may inspire them to pursue interests for which they have a strong sense of enthusiasm.
